It is very heat tolerant once established. The dwarf morning glory is long blooming, from spring to frost. It does not need to be deadheaded. The flowers are open early in the morning and close in the afternoon or in cloudy weather. The dwarf morning glory is used as a ground cover, edging plant, or mass planting. It can also be grown in a container as the spiller. It is native to Brazil so does well in the heat of the southern United States. It is also drought tolerant once established. Blue My Mind® Dwarf Morning Glory Care Although the dwarf morning glory will grow in average soil, it does best with an application of compost or a slow-release fertilizer when planted. It does not need deadheading. The young plant needs an average amount of water. The adult plant is drought tolerant after it is established but will look better and flower more if watered regularly.
